I hope you have all been enjoying this beautiful weather!
Last weekend I went to visit my good friend Jane in her lovely home in Bath. She absolutely adores living in the sunny countryside town and every time I visit I get more and more tempted to leave London!
We had a lovely relaxed weekend, soaking up the sun in the town centre and watching the Wales V England Rugby match… never watch rugby with a Welsh gal unless you are prepared to switch your loyalties.
On Sunday we walked over to Victoria Park where we came across the Botanical Gardens, a beautiful hidden gem with ponds, gorgeous flowers and a variety of wildlife.
As we explored the maze of tree tunnel paths, it dawned on us that we were waving goodbye to Summer.
Autumn has always been my favourite time of year. I love stepping out the door in a chunky scarf to the warmth of the sun mixed with the crisp chilly air. There is nothing quite like the sun pouring through the newly red leaves.
After getting some well needed fresh air, we headed to the town centre for a pub lunch. We’d heard good things about The Salamander, a hidden country pub serving hearty pub food.
We eyed up the Sunday roast selections, both choosing the special minted lamb dish but with a cheeky request for a Yorkshire pudding… if you don’t ask you don’t get! And boy am I glad that I asked, what a beast!
